Today marks the start of a brave new future.Our previous article, 30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself, was well received by most of our readers, but several of you suggested that we follow it up with a list of things to start doing. Sipping On Spit
Sipping on Spit and Chewing on cables life turned to strife not close to a Fairy Tale or a Fable.
My Hopes falling through the cracks on the floor that mirror my heart.
I await death but it teases me, you see.
It comes and holds me in it’s cold embrace and then walks away laughing at my disgrace.
But held I was awaiting the disentanglement as my body sputters and my Spirit seeks to be rid of the carnal clutter.
Sitting in the glow of an 11-year-old computer screen swallowing coffee hard to wash down the screams that are the echos to the tears that stream…and caress an old man’s face. Hoping the coffee will speed up my heart so that I know that it is there and not subjugated like a silent tectonic plate with despair.
I have kissed many a tear from a woman’s cheeks but nary a one is here near my seat.
My whole being falling into a hole being that it has collapse and my life is a seen as a retrospective time lapse video.
Holding your face in my arms with you head canted looking radiant and enchanted.
Lips slightly parted as my hands caress your face and I bring my lips to your blossom of a mouth and kiss you gently.
Lightly biting that lower lip and pulling it forward until I hear an inspiration.
Then we begin the dance of silent lengua franca.

On Friendship
And a youth said, “Speak to us of Friendship.”
Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.
When your friend speaks his mind you fear not the “nay” in your own mind, nor do you withhold the “ay.”
And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heart;
For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires, all expectations are born and shared, with joy that is unacclaimed.
When you part from your friend, you grieve not;
For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence, as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain.

Size does matter
FYI I just spent some quality time with The Dashboard (cue the music!)
Please there is no reason not even to ‘gift’ the image to a client to upload a 45 megabyte image.
There were several on one page.
That just slows you blog and some will wonder to ADHD land.
I first copy the icky (yeah, I use icky and what of it?) code that wordpress spews.
I prefer NOT to link to a larger image.
I upload the size that I want to and that is the end of it.(off to your room, in my best Daddy voice)
I had to click on each to make humongous and then drag onto my desk top from I dragged (I stopped the drugs, that explains things) into PS and did a quick change from adobe 1998 to srgb and a cmnd option i to bring up the image size (all about the size) but this time I was making it smaller.
I chose 900 for the landscape and 700 for the vertical.
My reasons (most are unreasonable with an untenable deposition)
Most blogs are set for 900 and 1024 is the size of the monitors that widely used (legacy era)
Now allow for some padding (don’t hate, I need to workout) and margins.
The vertical is the most browsers allow 680 depending on how many ‘things’ are sitting under the url window.
From 45 mg to 1.5mb is a huge savings.
I saved them between 8-10 if I gad at 5-7 more saving in size.
I could have stripped them of all their exif also but chose to leave them alone.
One of the pixels was Lawyering and calling the PS-Po-Po on me.
Trumped up charges that I was pushing it around and it had diminished capacities now, pish posh.
That pixel had it coming I tells ya!

Squirrels
These are some of my “big-boned” squirrels.
I had them hooked on Panera Bread for a few seasons.
You can see the reflection from my back porch in their eyes.
I live in Ellenville, NY and have tons of lil creatures traipsing through my backyard.
